Management & Supervisory Development Programme (M&SDP)
What is M&SDP?
Set up in 2001, M&SDP now provides financial support for Federation members pursuing management qualifications and business improvement initiatives.
Its purpose is to help the Federations to close management and leadership gaps in their sectors such as:
- Team building and getting staff to share corporate goals
- Time management and prioritisation
- Maximising the productivity of staff
- Effective communication
- Legal understanding of contracts
- Effective delegation
- IT skills
- Keeping up to date with health and safety and environmental legislation
- Financial understanding – including cash flow and credit control
The M&SDP fund is always fully used and supports an average of 45 projects at a time. Download a full guide to M&SDP.
Since the programme was established, more than 300 projects have benefitted, with 85-90% of all successful applications coming from Federations which represent small and medium-sized companies.
