Transparency Agenda
Following the General Election in May 2010, the incoming Coalition Government set out its goal of increasing transparency in the public sector believing that this would “enable the public to hold politicians and public bodies to account”. At the same time, it seeks to ensure that there is “better value for money in public spending”.
Of course, our Board (made up of representatives of levy payers) already scrutinises CITB-ConstructionSkills’ spending plans closely and determines the organisation’s strategic direction.
Information in the following documents shows:
The organisation’s structure, identifying the salaries of the most senior staff (which have been published in full in the Annual Report and Accounts for many years now)
Spend over £25,000 each month
Data about the organisation’s structure will be updated every six months and spending information will be published monthly.
The organisation’s rewards strategy is determined by the Board’s Remuneration Committee – all of whose members are levy paying employers - which seeks to balance the need to attract the right quality of staff with the best value for money.
The data is provided in a form that meets the requirements of the Government’s Public Data Principles.
