Construction Work Experience Programme
Laying the foundations for your future workforce
Find the best new workers
in just 2 – 4 weeks
Work experience is a great opportunity for would-be construction workers to get a taste of the industry. It can also be a simple and cost effective way for you to recruit the best young professionals.
A work experience placement lasts 2 to 4 weeks. This gives the applicant time to pick up some skills, and you the chance to see what they’re made of. It’s up to you if you then want to offer an apprenticeship.
CITB-ConstructionSkills offers total support at all times
We can help you test out applicants by supporting a work experience placement. We pre-select the best applicants to CITB-ConstructionSkills Managing Agency for you, according to their Structured Learning Exercise and GCSE scores.
Our Apprenticeships Officers will be on hand throughout the placement to offer support and will conduct a review midway through the placement and an exit interview. They can also help complete the necessary paperwork if you do decide to accept the work experience candidate for an apprenticeship and register them onto a CITB-ConstructionSkills Managing Agency apprenticeship.
What we offer
- A source of good candidates
- Personal support from the Apprenticeships Officers
- £40 subsidy towards travel costs for each candidate
