1. Site Safety for Shopfitters and Interior Contractors

This course is for you if you’re considering, or already have, supervisory responsibilities within the shopfitting and interior contracting industry e.g. first line manager, supervisor, foreman.

Overview

It covers all relevant legislation and other issues affecting safety in the shopfitting and interior contracting industry. It highlights the need for risk assessment in the workplace, the implementation of control measures and communication of health and safety, welfare and environmental issues. The course will help you understand the legal, moral and social responsibilities of your role.

At the end of the course you will have an understanding of:

  • shopfitting and interior contracting industry problem areas
  • health and safety law structure
  • safety management structure in controlling site safety
  • risk assessments and method statements
  • site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings
  • proactive and reactive monitoring and monitoring on site.

2. Site Safety for Shopfitters and Interior Contractors Refresher Course

This course is for you if you have previously passed the Site Safety for Shopfitters and Interior Contractors course.

Overview

This refresher brings your health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving you a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace. It builds on the material in the original course as well as introducing new subjects.

At the end of the course you will be able to:

  • implement all updated health, safety, welfare and environmental legislation affecting your job role
  • implement new guidance and industry best practice
  • fulfil your responsibilities with regards to health, safety, welfare and the environment.
