Work Place Learning Funding

Work Place Learning is a government funded programme to help employers train and qualify their workforce. It offers training to help workers aged 19 or over to improve their skills and give them the opportunity to certify these skills and prove their competence by gaining an NVQ.

What it is for

  • Employees with a contract of employment

  • Self Employed Workers with a Unique Tax Reference

Where you can train

The National Construction College can offer Work Place Learning at either a work location as OSAT (On Site Assessment and Training) or at one of our 7 sites in England through EWPA (Experienced Worker Practical Assessment).

About funding

To be eligible to receive Work Place Learning funding depends on certain criteria such as the age of the learner, previous qualifications held and the level of qualification required. In some circumstances this can be fully funded but there may be instances where the individual is only eligible to receive part funding in which case a contribution would be required from the employer.
