New Business Development is a new business venture initiated by Business Services in 2011, with Executive approval to proceed with development work in 2012. The role offers the opportunity to be involved at an early stage with this leading edge IS and web-based development, aimed at transforming the way the organisation engages with customers and stakeholders.

The post holder will be responsible for taking forward the initial product concepts into development, working with IS colleagues, technology suppliers and relevant business areas across the organisation.  The role will identify and translate the business requirements associated with each product and service into technical solutions for their delivery, ensuring all delivery and support functions are fully engaged in the process.

As such the successful candidate will have a sound base of ICT and web-development skills and hands-on experience of translating business requirements into technical solutions.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • To develop varied solutions to new scheme and register as identified by the Head of New Business Development and CRC Project Manager
  • To define the business requirements for each solution, communicate those requirements to the IS department, and work between the business and IS to ensure a clear understanding of the requirements exists before any development work commences
  • To support IS in the development and delivery of the solutions to meet the business requirements.
