2010/2011 Grants Scheme

You can use the links to the left to find more information about the development of the 2010/2011 Grants Scheme and the grants available.

The Scheme has been developed following extensive consultation with the construction industry to provide an affordable and fit for purpose Grants Scheme for the future, with the following principles and priorities in mind:

Principles

  • the Grants Scheme has to be affordable
  • it has to support qualifications
  • it has to encourage and support quality training

The need to simplify the Grants Scheme was also seen as a key factor.

Priorities

  • the Grants Scheme should improve employers' performance and productivity
  • it should support life-long learning
  • it should promote and support careers

The Grants Scheme must also be mindful of Innovative/Sustainable construction requirements.
