Supplementary payment
There is an additional Supplementary Payment of a percentage of the published grant value, made to employers who contribute to CITB-ConstructionSkills Levy funds that are used to pay CITB-ConstructionSkills grants to promote training within the construction industry.
To qualify for this payment all of the following three conditions must be met on or before the 31st July 2009:
- A 2008 CITB-ConstructionSkills Levy return must have been completed that requires you to pay an assessment to ConstructionSkills.
- You must have paid this assessment, which was sent to you in April 2009, in full or you be paying by Direct Debit instalments.
- Your correctly completed 2009 Levy return must have been received by the CITB-ConstructionSkills Levy section.
Employers who do not pay an assessment as their labour-only receipts exceed their payroll and labour-only payments, may also qualify for Supplementary Payment.
Supplementary Payment will be made at the same time as the grant is paid. The Grants Payment Advice will itemise payments made.
If you miss the 31st July 2009 deadline, Supplementary Payments will be forfeited for:
- all grants you might claim under the 2009/2010 CITB-ConstructionSkills Grants Scheme
- all apprentice grant payment made to you for attendance paid and achievements awarded during the grant year (irrespective of their year of start).
A summary of the Supplementary Payment rates which are applicable to each grant reference is available to download.
