Future Developments

You might have noticed that each year we make changes to the CITB-ConstructionSkills grants on offer in response to the needs of employers and the industry. We are now working to ensure the Grants Scheme will continue to meet the needs of our customers; both now and the future.

In 2007 we consulted with employers, federations and other key stakeholders on how they would like the scheme to develop over the next three years and approval was obtained from the ConstructionSkills Board to develop the proposals into changes that will improve the range of training supported by grants, simplify Grants Scheme information and grant claiming processes.

Further consultation is taking place in the summer of 2008 and early in 2009, with the improvements once agreed, being implemented from 2009/2010.
