ConstructionSkills celebrates Apprenticeship Week with 5,300 apprenticeship completions
To mark England’s first National Apprenticeship Week (25-29 February) ConstructionSkills is celebrating the 5,300 ConstructionSkills apprentices who successfully completed their apprenticeship in England last year, through a supplement published with the Daily Mirror on Friday 29th February.
To complement this profile-raising activity ConstructionSkills apprenticeship team will attend recruitment fairs around the country and host events such as the West Midlands workshop ‘Getting the most out of your apprentice’
The week not only provides the opportunity to celebrate achievements and raise the profile of apprentices but also to remind employers of the vital role apprentices play in today’s construction industry and the support available to help them to offer apprenticeship placements.
The week has received backing from leading Union officials who have urged supporting firms to take on more apprentices.
Apprenticeship Week, runs in England from 25 to 29 February and is being coordinated by the Learning and Skills Council.
