February - BigSkills Apprenticeships

March - Legislation - Waste management and Directors’ responsibilities
Highlighting Health and safety and management and leadership following the changes in Waste Management legislation and the focus on Directors’ responsibilities.
April - Construction (Design Management) Regs - one year on
It’s one year since the revised CDM regs came into force. We’ll be challenging employers to check they can demonstrate competence and demonstrating how we can help:
May - Skills
May is a key month for employers who are considering taking on apprentices in September. We’ll be pushing the bottom line benefits employers attest to from taking on apprentices.
June - Training
Helping employers win contracts and increase business profitability with particular emphasis on Training & Development Plans.
July - Business improvement
July has a big focus on Grant, with the Grant Scheme mailing and supporting PR informing employers of what’s available to them
August – Qualifying the workforce
Promoting On-Site Assessment and Training (OSAT), card schemes, and the revised CPCS scheme.
September - Management & Leadership
This month showcases development programmes, training courses and publications.
October - Health and safety culture
Launching a new health and safety website across the industry which will share the latest best practice.
November - Localised themes
Local, targeted activity on the most important and relevant themes affecting each region.
December - 2008 Review
Review of the year.
