The Construction Skills All Party Parliamentary Group meeting - October

The APPG for Construction Skills and Training will meet to consider the reasons, challenges and solutions in relation to provisional figures from the Health and Safety Executive, which report that 72 fatal injuries occurred in the construction sector in the 2007/8 period.

The meeting will hear from Kevin Fear, ConstructionSkills Head of Health, Safety and Environment and Chair of a CONIAC (Construction Industry Advisory Council) working group, the statutory committee through which the Health and Safety Executive consult with industry, and a leading employer who champions best practise.
