Research provides us with facts about the industry. Our research needs are determined by our roles as a Sector Skills Council (SSC) and as an Industry Training Board (ITB), as well as considering the economic drivers, immediate and emerging policy issues and industry skill challenges. To meet these needs our research process includes;

Working with other SSC's and the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils (the 'Alliance') enables us to connect our skills needs assessments and sector specific work to the economy wide agenda. Working with the Alliance's Intelligence Network enables us to keep abreast of 'leading edge' research.
