Fire Safety

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 was approved by Parliament on 7 June 2005, and became law on 1 October 2006.

Under the legislation, Fire Certificates will be abolished and a ‘responsible person’ for each premise will be required to undertake fire risk assessments and take steps to reduce or eliminate the risk.
