Why did you choose this career?
I started doing the steeplejacking course because it seemed like a challenge and quite unusual. I was right!

What do you do day-to-day?
I carry out maintenance and repairs at height. Also I do things like erecting chimneys, but I work inside and out.

What advice would you give prospective students?
You really need a good head for heights, and be prepared to get pretty mucky.

Good bits about the job?
The work is challenging and hard, but really worth it. I just love the job.
