What do you do day-to-day?
Anything that needs to be done, from mixing mortar to pointing and replacing stones. I don't do much cutting stone yet, but that'll come.

What advice would you give to prospective students?
If you've got an interest, definitely follow it. It's a great career and there's good money when you're qualified

Good bits about your job?
It's great to step back from something you've produced and see how good it looks. You can be really proud of your work.

Why did you choose this career?
Stonemasonry's an art. I was interested from an early age, it's always fascinated me for some reason.
