People who wish to start a career in the civil engineering or construction industries and progress to supervisory and management positions, or to carry on training via college or university to obtain higher qualifications.
The course has been designed in close consultation with industry and is offered as part of the Apprenticeship programme. It aims to prepare apprentices to become responsible and skilled workers in the industry. The training is designed to give apprentices a sound working knowledge of a wide variety of industry skills that will prepare them, for further career progression.

Entry requirements
Potential apprentices need a minimum of four GCSEs at grades A–C or equivalent (to include maths, a science subject and English). All candidates will be required to complete a Skills Learning exercise and a maths test, and some will need to attend the college for further tests.

This apprenticeship is available through the following campus:
NNC East (Bircham Newton)
Year 1: 29 weeks (NCC East)
Year 2: 15 weeks (NCC East)
Year 3: The remaining part of the apprenticeship is spent on-site with the employer gaining work experience with assessment for the NVQ level 2 Construction Award, carried out by NCC
