NVQ/SVQ

Students

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ), Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQ) are obtained through a combination of on-site practical assessment and college-based work. You are most likely to achieve these through being employed and issued day or block release to college.

There are no formal exams involved in NVQ/SVQ attainment - overall competence is assessed. You can complete an NVQ/SVQ as a full-time or a part-time 'sandwich' course.

Most colleges will require 4 GCSE / S Grade passes before enrolment.
