What do you do day-to-day?
I'm involved with a wide range of duties including, developing a clients brief for a project, attending and chairing design meetings, preparing drawings ranging from initial sketches to the construction details and monitoring progress on site.

What advice would you give to prospective students?
Find a suitable accredited course to suit your area of interest. Study hard, absorb all the knowledge you can and don't be afraid to ask questions!

What are the good bits about your job?
The wide variety of tasks involved. No two days are the same. All projects are different and legislation is constantly changing which you need to keep in front of. There is always something new to learn.
