What do you do day-to-day?
I prepare information to send to sub-contractors for pricing. I then receive the bids back and put together our tender submission. There's lots of communication involved in the job, I'm on the phone all the time!

Good bits about your job?
Winning a contract when you've put so much work into preparing the bid. The bad bits are when we don't win the contract!

Social aspects to your job?
As well as general social events, we go to events with clients and sub-contractors. The last one was gokarting.

Why did you choose this career?
I started out in administration but was asked to help out in the estimating department. It looked more interesting than admin work, so I stayed!
