What do you do day-to-day?
I do a variety of solid plastering using sand and cement on building exteriors and indoor plastering and dry lining.

What advice would you give prospective students?
There's nothing like learning on the job. I'd advise becoming an apprentice and doing a day-release NVQ course.

Good bits about your job?
I get to work outdoors, meet lots of people, and through working with a variety of other trades people, I learn loads about the industry.

Why did you choose this career?
I was working in a factory but was always interested in the construction industry. I got an apprenticeship with a plastering firm and they sent me to college to get my NVQ. I never looked back!
